*NC Central Regional 3A Science & Engineering Fair is an Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) Affiliate.  This means that all participants are required to submit the proper ISEF forms. Please use the Science Fair Rules Wizard to determine the forms that are needed to submit. For more information about which forms to submit, please view The ISEF Rules and Guidelines.



Registration Procedure:

1.    Schools, student participants, fair volunteers, and judges are to register at this site using the link on the left hand side of the webpage titled “Login/Register.”


2.    This link will send you to a menu for each type of login and registration.  Please note, an operable email is required for registration. The following steps are written for student registration. 


·      If your school does not have a pre-qualifying fair, the student participant must have a teacher register and sponsor them. Only students that have been selected to move to the Regional Fair by their local school fair should register themselves.

·      If students are submitting their project as part of a team, only one team member should register them.

3.    Once registered in the system, students will be emailed their registration number to use to complete their online registration.

4.    After completing the online steps for registration, students must print and sign the “participant registration form” and all ISEF Forms, then mail the following items to complete final registration!  Forms and registration payment must be received by January 22, 2016.

·      Mandatory ISEF FORMS:


-      1, 1A, 1B, Research Plan, and Abstract, although depending on the nature of the student project, additional special forms may be required.  (Following to ISEF Science Fair Form Wizard should show the forms needed if complete properly)


·      Participant registration form: which will be created upon registration.

·      Registration Fee: $20

·      Forms and payment can be mailed to the address below:

5.    Students will be notified via email after SRC approval to participate in the fair.


 6. Please review the following information about Student Categories:                                                                                                                                     

o   Elementary students: should all be registered under the Elementary Category

o   Middle and high school students:

-      Physics

-      Chemistry


-      Biological Sciences A:   Animal Science, Microbiology, Medicine and Health Science



-      Biological Sciences B:   Biochemistry, Plant Sciences, Cellular and Molecular Biology, and Behavioral Sciences


-      Earth and Environmental

-      Technology and Engineering



Additional Information:      


1st and 2nd Place Middle and High School Winners and (8) Elementary School Winners  at Central Regional 3A will qualify to compete at the

N.C. Science and Engineering Fair  on April 1-2, 2016 at Meredith College, Raleigh, N.C.
